Dr. Anthony Ienna - DDS

Dr. Anthony Ienna

Dr. Anthony Ienna is a graduate of Georgetown University Dental School. He completed a general practice residency at Catholic Medical Center and he specialized in periodontology at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey (currently Rutgers). He is an assistant clinical professor of periodontology at Stony Brook University Dental School and an attending at Winthrop University Hospital. He served as president of Nassau County Dental Society and The Long Island Academy of Periodontology.

He has participated in yearly dental mission trips to Jamaica, West Indies since 2011 and was recently awarded the Certificate for International Volunteer Service from the American Dental Association. Dr. Ienna is a diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology.

In private practice since 1989, married with four children.


Dr. Alex G. Pappas - DDS

Dr. Alex G. Pappas

Dr. Alex G. Pappas received his B.A. in biology at the State University of New York at Binghamton and graduated with honors from the State University of New York at Stony Brook School of Dental Medicine.

As a result of his exceptional academic achievements, Dr. Pappas was inducted into the prestigious OKU Dental Honor Society.  Following his graduation from dental school, Dr. Pappas continued his training at the State University of New York at Stony Brook School of Dental Medicine and completed a 3-year post-doctoral program in Periodontics and Dental Implantology.  He has been trained extensively in periodontal plastic surgery, oral reconstructive surgery, implantology and periodontal medicine.

Dr. Pappas is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Periodontics at the State University of New York at Stony Brook School of Dental Medicine and is an active attending in the Department of Dentistry at Nassau University Medical Center and at Winthrop University Hospital. He currently is president of The Long Island Academy of Periodontology. Dr. Pappas is a diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology.
